Chinese Type 62 Light Tank

Chinese Type 62 Light Tank on display at the Military Museum of Chinese People's Revolution. This photo was taken in October,2009.

This type of tank has a combat weight of 21 tons, a maximum speed of 60 kms, is armed with one 85 mm tank gun with a maximum range of 12,100 metres. This type is suitable for fighting in rough terrain and paddy fields, mainly to carry out recon and anti-airborne troops mission and may also be used to destroy the strength of the enemy and the defense works and weapons of the enemy.
