Some info on the FV4004 120mm Gun Conway and the FV4005 183mm Gun Tank.
Conway was an attempt to up-gun the Centurion with a 120mm gun mounted in a high turret. Other attempts to up-gun the Centurion to 183mm were tried, firstly using a limited traverse mounting (no turret) and secondly using a lightly armoured fully traversable turret. The vehicle depicted here is a recreation of the FV4005 with the Stage 2 Turret that used to be on the ground by the car park at Bovington, but has now been mounted on a Centurion hull, similar to the original configuation.
When this vehicle fired to the side it did nearly tip over!
