This type of vehicle , used in Northern Ireland, sprayed water with an indelible dye to help identify rioters. The cover over the front was part of the reverse-flow cooling system, and was a relatively late modification.

This vehicle was never deployed to Northern Ireland. The cannon fired a 1.6 gallon 'slug' of water by compressed nitrogen. It was not deployed as it was to powerful. The reverse flow cowling was introduced in the early 70's.

We used the squirt-pig, and it was rumoured that the Saracen was coming. I left NI before this was supposed to appear. Obviously it didn't, probably due to political interference!
