RL-2 Praga

RL-2 truck mounted air defence system has been created by conversion of standard air-to-air IR homing missile R-60MK into surface-to-air missile, by adding solid rocket booster engine. Concept of operation of RL-2 air defence missile system includes target detection, tracking and identification by acquisition system such as SAR radar or optoelectronic station, which relays target data to the missile system, which slews the missiles to given direction. After target lock-on, which is signaled to the crew by audio signal, the missiles are launched.
